Hospitality & Tourism

From Outsider to Partner

THE MANDATE

A global force in hospitality faced years of gridlock and community skepticism within Taiwan’s hostile regulatory environment. Agaleyn was engaged to make sense of the situation as a neutral outsider, and to help reset a relationship defined by longstanding distrust, shifting the client from a defensive posture to a constructive one.

THE DESIGN

We understood the roots of resistance, mapping and clarifying overlapping and competing policy priorities within the tourism sector. By establishing a consistent, sustainable engagement strategy, we transformed the nature of the client’s dialogue with the government.

Sometimes there simply isn’t a natural fit between businesses and regulatory regimes. Still, our deep understanding of Taiwan creates opportunities to shift perceptions from disruptor to contributor.
